There are two exciting options to choose from for the Pedalon days. Make your selection!

Option 1: TIVAT –KOTOR- TIVAT COASTAL TRAIL

40 km – horizontal with very gentle undulations

The Bay of Kotor enjoys some of the most striking mountain scenery in Europe. This 100 square mile volcanic crater cradles the 12th Century UNESCO heritage town of Kotor at its heart, lush green, verdant mountains swoop into the spectacular waters of the bay.

Route

The “pedalon” route takes you about for about 40 km around the breathtakingly beautiful shores of the Bay. Along its route, you will cycle through the cutest of 12th century Venetian fishing villages, authentic, warm and welcoming. Feel free to stop any time, get in touch with authentic village life, go for a swim or watch a local catch a fish.

That is authentic Montenegro. The walled town of Kotor awaits you at the end, with a delicious lunch, coffees in the many squares and some down time to appreciate the culture of this jewel of a town with its museums, art galleries, music, cafes, shopping and historic architectural beauty. Then with the odd stop for a swim on the way, we gently pedal back along the coast to Tivat.

This ride is easy and flat. A perfect fun day for those wanting to connect with village life and the bay.

Option 2: TIVAT- KOTOR- TIVAT MOUNTAIN AND COASTAL RIDE

40 km-Mountain, steep and windy outbound and horizontal, gently undulating on the return

For the far more energetic, you can ride up the dizzy but spectacular mountain road between Kotor and Tivat. This is a windy 1600m climb at is peak so you might have to be a seasoned biker to do this.

Route

This takes you up through the lushest of green countryside, old farms, forests and untouched nature. The views… well, take a look for yourself. Bring your camera, you will want to savour every moment.

You can then relax as you glide down to Kotor where you can spend just a little time in the 12th Century town to get your breath back with lunch and time to explore the town with its art , galleries, museums, churches and historic architecture.

You then gently pedal back to Tivat along the stunning coastal road, through the old venetian fishing villages and may be even stopping for a swim.
